So there's medication that is used to treat Graves' disease.
And then there are 2 other treatments for Graves' disease,
that are considered more definitive or permanent.
And so those are radioactive iodine, or surgery.
And surgery meaning removing the entire thyroid gland.
Each treatment has different risks and benefits.
And some patients are better suited for one treatment for another.
So its really a very individualized, or personalized decision.
And one that should be you know, considered carefully with their doctor and figuring
out what's right for that individual patient.
