we take note of today's judgement on the

rights to be forgotten which is in line

with the position the European

Commission took in this case the

judgment addresses legal questions

concerning the right to be forgotten and

its application to search engines such

as Google more specifically the

judgement clarifies that the right to be

forgotten applies within the EU and that

search engine operators have to take

sufficiently effective measures to

ensure the effective protection of this

right but it does not necessarily apply

outside of the EU within the new rules

on data protection apply and have to be

respected and this includes the right to

be forgotten
